Freddy Fresh has produced Techno under the moniker "The Modulator" he started producing in 1992 his initial release was Maximum Pulse on 12" format on the legendary New York EXperimental label which featured Damon Wild, Tim Taylor, Joey Beltram, Frankie Bones, etc.. he is also a mad Modular and Analog synth collector. Experimentation in sound design. Worked with early techno labels in Germany, England, and Japan as well as on his own Electric Music Foundation and Analog Imprint. Also, deejays and performs live at festivals around the world. In the techno scene, Freddy Fresh has shared stages with Jeff Mills, Richie Hawtin, Aphex Twin, Dave Clarke, Laurent Garnier, Neil Landstrumm, Luke Slater, 808 State, Felix Da Housecat, Carl Craig to name just a few and has played at legendary clubs such a Fabric and Tresor.

 

The ideas behind his music are to incorporate the characteristics of analog-based Synthesizers and Modular Systems to weave unique sounds with driving bass lines and a rhythmic percussive four to the floor backdrop as well as Electro 808 style music. Freddy has also released on the labels R&S, Hybrid, Harthouse, Drop Bass Network, Sounds, Synewave, Missile, Earwiggle, Riot, Proper, Music Man, Labworks, etc..
